Laughing Doesn’t Kill

We hope to get by through overthinking
Whereas a smile leads to the truth
I hear the crowd telling me I’m completely off my rocker
But rather than running away, I’m going to teach them to laugh

Laughing doesn’t kill
You can’t get depressed when you make that choice
Deciding is up to you
Obeying the past won’t get you anywhere

We hope to act well by condemning
Whereas reacting is not a necessity
I hear the crowd telling me I should protect myself
But rather than blushing, I keep on radiating

Laughing doesn’t kill
You can’t get depressed when you make that choice
Deciding is up to you
Obeying the past won’t get you anywhere
