The Obstacle to Scientific Progress

Your universe is not solid. As you probably know from your scientists, solid “matter”, the visible substance of the world, is composed of particles of energy. The TRUTH of BEING of your earthly dimension rests on this fundamental reality of creation.

To understand my teachings concerning the Truth of Being, it is necessary to understand this fundamental “apparent void” underlying your entire created world.

The majority of you know this fact of existence intellectually, but it has not yet filtered through your consciousness, even minimally, to give you a new perspective on the world and on existence itself. You carry on as you have for millennia, thinking that your world is solid, and that the conditions of the body and all other external phenomena are beyond your control. You believe that you are the victim of existence. Instead, the opposite is true. And your daily lives reflect these beliefs. Consequently, it is absolutely necessary for me to return and help you reach a higher perception of the Truth.

As I said in Letter 1, after the illumination in the desert, I returned to my world of Palestinian towns and villages, and I immediately began to control the “elements of matter” whenever I saw the need to help those who were in deprivation or suffering.

I have come to show you exactly why I was able to do this.

As I revealed to you in Letter 1, during the period when I received full illumination in the desert, I was shown that “matter” was not really solid. I was not given to understand exactly how the electrical particles, which I called the “shimmerings of dust”, took on the appearance of visible “matter”. I only knew that these “dusts” moved at high frequencies of speed within “GOD SPIRIT” and that “GOD SPIRIT” was therefore universal.

I perceived that “GOD SPIRIT” was both the creator – and the substance – of all things in creation itself. Of this I was absolutely certain.

I also “saw” very clearly that human thought, when charged with conviction or emotion, radically affected this process of materialization of visible forms.

Consequently, the human mind could interfere – and did interfere – with the true intention of “GOD SPIRIT”.

It was a thrilling and exhilarating realization, for I saw that the myths I had been taught by the Jewish rabbis were clearly false, and they were immediately swept from my mind. I embraced the truth with excitement, for I now realized why people experienced misery and suffering. They emanated from their own thought processes.

I was also given to “see” the “communities of living particles”, which science has named “cells”, at work in every living thing. I was aware of the Divine Harmony controlling the work of the cells, which were actively occupied in building and maintaining the various parts of the physical bodies of all living creatures and plants, small and large. That is why I drew so much from the countryside to give examples of the immanence and activity of the “Father” in the humblest wildlife – such as plants and birds.

As I clearly explained in Letters 1 to 3, I called “GOD SPIRIT” the “Father” because it was given to me to “see” – to perceive – the true nature of “GOD SPIRIT”, and because I was determined, once back among the people of Palestine to describe the revelations I had received, that they should understand that their beliefs, impressed upon their own consciousness by the rabbis, were entirely false.

I saw that the true nature of “GOD SPIRIT” was the supreme form of Divine Love, and this could be seen constantly active in every living thing.

As I mentioned above, from this knowledge, I was able to perform “miracles” and master the elements when it was necessary and appropriate.

Just as I ardently wished to blow up the myths that possessed the minds of the Jews in Palestine, I likewise long to show you that a great number of the theories put forward by your scientists were motivated by a strong reaction to the dogmas and doctrines of the Church in past years.

To understand this statement, you must realize that until the time of Darwin, when the various Christian Churches held dominion over people’s minds, it was generally accepted that the universe had been created exactly as written in the Genesis of the Biblical Old Testament.

When men of science tried to announce their discoveries and theories, they were forced to describe their new beliefs in the face of enormous religious opposition. Consequently, they found it necessary to concentrate much of their mental energy on proving that the statements of the Prophets were false. In doing so, their objective made them lose the clarity of their vision, and they too became driven by the impulse of the ego. Subsequently, any intuitive perception offered by the scientific fraternity was ridiculed and dismissed out of hand by other scientists. Because of this mental climate, the pendulum of the search for “Truth” swung to the side of the sole unshakable belief in reason and logic, thus imprisoning the human intellect in materialism to find answers to the origins of life and existence.

It is therefore absolutely necessary for me to refute a few of the “scientific theories”, and show that they are as erroneous as the so-called “truths” of Christian Doctrine. In arriving at some of these “theories”, scientists and churchmen alike have plunged into the realm of grotesque unproven suppositions, to answer questions that the earthly mind alone had been unable to answer until then.

Having told you that the substance of your material world is fundamentally electrical particles agitated at great speed in “space”, your science is unable to tell you “why” such “particles of energy” acquire the density and form of “matter”, except by speaking of fusion forces that seem to create the elements.

Science cannot tell you what the “Motivating Force” is that brings the particles to the form of the elements.

Nor can science tell you where such particles of energy originally came from, except to say that they were released at the moment of the Big Bang, which it believes gave the first impulse to creation.

Why a sudden “Big Bang” – of what? What was the Motivating Factor behind it?

Science speaks of electromagnetism but cannot say where such energies that appear and disappear come from. Where do they go? Why do they come back? From a human point of view, there seems to be no intelligible activity in or behind this work.

Science says that electromagnetism “simply exists” – a simple fact of existence – yet it produces highly intentional and intelligent work, in the form of the millions of billions of substances of which your universe is made. How can this be?

There is nothing, in what electromagnetism has brought into visible being, that the human mind can consider devoid of intention or meaning.

Science ignores this most fundamental and vital level of creation. Without an answer to this question, why everything that has been brought into visible manifestation by the activity of the twin energies of electromagnetism is invariably purposeful, successful and rational – nothing of any value in the search for your origins will be discovered.

Until science can probe and discover the “Reality” of the “space” in which the electrical particles of “visible being” are sustained, it will remain forever behind the locked doors of materialism. It will be closed to eternal Truth and universal wisdom, and it will be imprisoned in the slavery of reason alone – reason which is only the product of the finite activity of brain cells.

It is the true nature of SPACE that I intend to present to you – but before doing so, I must first bring many highly relevant questions to your attention.

Over the ages, most of the work produced by electromagnetism has appeared to the mind, sight and touch of living entities as being solid and immutably durable. Metals, wood, rocks, living entities were all assumed to be composed of solid “matter”, inanimate or living. With such a belief in a solid universe, it is only natural that the ancient mystic prophets envisioned a “Powerful Individual”, possessing enormous powers to create all the solid substances of the universe. In visualizing such a “Powerful Individual”, it was only natural that they perceived a “Royal” figure with universal control, possessing a vengeful nature when confronted with the human behavior that created a turbulent society.

Neither the ancient Prophets nor today’s science have come close to the Truth of Existence. Both have missed the truth completely.

Science says that life began when, in some unexplained way, a correct combination of chemical reactions produced a molecule capable of making copies of itself by triggering new chemical reactions.

Such a description of the immense and overflowing complexity and power of the LIFE FORCE as being perceptible because it is “capable of replicating itself” reveals the fundamental impoverishment of the scientific perception and thought that produced such a theory!

Moreover, the suggestion that such a combination of “inanimate” chemical substances could come together in a specific way – accidentally – to produce a result as surprising as “self-replication” remains scientifically unchallenged.

This is because the finite human mind, though scientific, cannot envisage a possibility as strange as spontaneous “self-replication”. It suggests too much a magical phenomenon – a kind of intervention coming from an unimaginable source, which men of science dare not consider for fear of ridicule.

This sheep-like consent is considered more scientific than producing “inspired” theories, blocked by the materialistic laws that science has established for itself. This obstacle to future scientific progress will prevent science from properly exploring the realm of mind and spirit, until an enlightened scientist defies conventions and dares to cross the boundary between the “visible” and the “non-visible”.

The ancient Prophets, if presented with the theory of molecular self-replication, would have no difficulty with such a “magical phenomenon” and would say that “God” made the chemical combinations and breathed life into them. That would not be the right explanation either.

It is this old religious concept of a “God on High”, “creating from afar”, that prevents men of science from advancing toward more spiritually conscious reflections. Thus, despite the apparent emancipation of science from ancient doctrines, it remains just as attached and mentally shackled by fear of the old authoritarian dogmas as in the nineteenth century. It adopts its ridiculous theories because it has not yet perceived the “Reality” of Our Source of Being behind and in the living molecule.

Continuing its story of creation, science declares that after the “self-fabrication” of living molecules capable of replicating themselves, these “formed themselves” into a living cell (so small that it cannot be seen with the naked eye), which became the basic building block of the whole multiplicity of living organisms, including plants, insects, reptiles, birds, animals and man himself. Consequently, all living things have a common ancestor – the first living molecule.

Science cannot explain why the self-replicating molecules combined themselves to form a living cell. It remains a mystery to science to this day.

The living cell, your science tells you, is reproduced endlessly in billions of billions of billions of different forms. It is the basic building block of the visible universe. How can this be? What impulse motivates such replication? Science cannot say. Entrenched in its own blindness, it has dragged people down with it into materialistic blindness.

And now – the first living cell deserves the full attention of anyone seriously seeking the spiritual dimension and the “Principal Factor of Existence” – because the first living molecule and the first living cell are the very first evidence of intelligent activity in “matter” – in the universe.

The most obvious characteristic that shows meaning and sensitivity is the function of the membrane that covers the cell, giving it protection and individuality. Think about this “miraculous” phenomenon.

The cell absorbs, from the environment, only selected food through the membrane.

Not only does the cell absorb the right food, but – having used this food – the cell gets rid of its waste through the permeable membrane.

You should ask yourself how the “purely physical” membrane of the cell, invisible to your eyes, can “distinguish and select” the right food to improve its well-being, and then exercise enough discernment to get rid of unwanted toxic matter?

Do you not see a high degree of determination in all this activity, and can you believe that such determination is accidental?

And is INTENTION not the very mark of Intelligence?

Furthermore, the cell membrane continues to do this work of selecting food and eliminating waste in billions of billions of different circumstances and conditions, in connection with the survival of various species in various environments. Is this not evidence of the DETERMINATION visible in every action of every species, insects, plants, reptiles, birds, animals and human beings?

Could the universe not be described as the coherent and immutable IMPULSE of DETERMINATION made visible in the realm of visible “matter”?

Is the spirit of DETERMINATION a physical element – or an element of “consciousness”?

And if you can accept that DETERMINATION is an undeniable creative impulse behind EXISTENCE, then you can move on to the next perception of your universe, as being the visible manifestation of “an INTELLIGENT EVALUATION of causes and effects”, clearly evident in living “matter”. For – if the living cell can select the right food and also foresee the elimination of toxic waste – this simple activity shows an awareness of the need for digestion and also foresees the resulting formation of toxic waste, and the need to eliminate this waste to ensure the permanent health of the cell. Is this not a clear indication of an INTELLIGENT EVALUATION of “Cause and Effect”?

Moreover – science says that the cell contains a “nucleus” that could be compared to the brain of a human being, because it transmits messages and its most important function is the storage of information, it is the “library” that contains the details relating not only to a cell, but also to the entire body in which it resides!

In fact, according to scientific research, it would appear that the cell itself is a system of chemical “messages” carried in an intentional, intelligent and intelligible way. How could this be, if the origins of the cell’s molecules were only inanimate chemical substances? Would you dispute that behind every “messenger with a message to transmit”, there is intelligent thought or consciousness? And see how precise these messages are, transferred from cell to cell to ensure the exact replication of certain species for millions of years.

At what point, then, in creation, did “consciousness” slip into living organisms? And how did intelligent thought, which weighs and decides, arrive in the field of unconscious and inanimate matter?

Without inherent consciousness, how can such informed and informing activity take place in a cell invisible to the naked eye? Is such activity not the product of consciousness/knowledge, proving the presence of “intelligent” life at its smallest denominator?

Moreover, a single living cell, in the form of a bacterium, can move by itself and live its own specialized and often exciting life in the environment – or – as a virus doing its specialized deadly work by attacking specific targets in living organisms. Otherwise, the cell can be fixed in an organism, to carry out its own extremely important work of building and maintaining a part of the organism. Such work produces “living material” perfectly adapted – and necessary – to the living organ on which it works – whether it is part of a human body, an animal or a plant – such as human toes or spleens, animal fur and tusks, fish scales and bird feathers, the bark of a tree and the foliage on its branches, the petals and stalks of flowers, the antennae of butterflies and their gauzy wings, the reptilian skin of crocodiles and their teeth, the eyes of squid and their skin that changes color according to their need for camouflage. Each of these physical phenomena, completely different and apparently unrelated, is created by the individual and specialized work of billions and billions and billions of identical living cells.

In contemplating the scale and diversity of the work accomplished by a simple living cell invisible to the naked eye – can you believe in a mechanical universe?

It would be possible if the “matter” produced by such cells were incoherent, devoid of definite intention or reason for its existence – devoid of personal consciousness.

But that is not the case. These identical living cells work together in harmony, in man or animal, to make a liver with its multiple tasks in the body, to create a complex eye having its specific purposes of putting the entity in direct and intelligent contact with its environment, incorporating the assistance of the brain, or powerful bones appropriately and complexly designed in association with tendons and muscles, to unite with one another in such an adapted way that they allow the free and supple movement of the entity.

Moreover, cells never interfere in each other’s work.

When they create a kidney, they do not suddenly make an ear.

When they create a hair, they do not suddenly start making skin. No, cells create the scalp, and perfectly identical cells create the hair. The only difference between skin cells and hair cells is the work they accomplish, second after second, throughout a lifetime. Why?

What is the “Motivating and Inspiring Factor”? Chance? What organizing intelligence set the whole process of creation in motion, from the most fundamental level of the formation of simple elements from free electrical particles in “space”, the combination of elements to form chemical substances, the right combination of specific chemical substances to form a living molecule, the right combination of living molecules to make a living cell, which can absorb food, reject waste, build according to very precise specifications, move, and support this enormous edifice of creation constantly for billions of years?

Not only that, but what is the “Motivating Force” that has designed and successfully evolved, in living systems and entities, billions and billions of different ways of fertilizing seeds of all kinds – whether those of plants, insects, reptiles, birds, animals or human beings, by evolving for each an intelligent system of procreation adapted to climatic conditions, to the production of vegetation in the environment, in order to ensure survival?

Is SURVIVAL not also evidence of intelligent purposeful activity?

And having accomplished this superb functionality of creativity, should you not ask yourself how it is that each living species has its own individual way of raising its young and protecting them as much as possible, until they are able to SURVIVE on their own? Is this not LOVE FOR CREATION active in its highest form?

One cannot end this analysis of what human intelligence has to say about the origins of life and creativity without mentioning the “all-important DNA molecules” – said to carry the “blueprint” of the whole organism – plant or baby. Moreover, these DNA molecules give instructions to the cells, informing them that they should build in accordance with the chromosomes handed down by the seed.

Yes indeed, in place of Intelligence – science has given you DNA molecules as your source of existence, your supreme chief, your director of creation, on whose material and fragile cells the whole of creation must depend for its survival. Behold the glorious DNA – Lord of your creation!

Where did the DNA molecules draw their intelligent directing powers from?

Science is quite satisfied now that it has been able to explain satisfactorily why the various species of all kinds replicate themselves with such fidelity and constancy. Science would like you to believe that you live in a purely mechanical universe; that the phenomenon of evolution comes from random mutations and the “survival of the fittest”.

If you study the various organisms of creation, the multiple and different activities of related species, can you really believe in such an improbable materialistic concept?

It is no mere coincidence that today, in order to enable you to discover the vast Intelligence behind creation, there are many creative people embarking on difficult journeys to explore, determine and photograph the habitats and habits of wild creatures and plants. You are entertained – and instructed – with an opulence of facts and photographs of the wonders of your universe.

In my time on Earth, I did not have such wonders to refer to in order to teach the Jews the universal Truth of Existence. I only had domestic animals and birds to use as examples of the wonderful inventiveness, intelligence and consciousness apparent in every living being. It is written nowhere in the gospels that I referred to a High and Mighty Jehovah as the Creator, as was customary for the Jewish Leaders.

No, I turned to the countryside, the flowers and the birds, and I tried to show my compatriots that they were surrounded by a wonderful and miraculous creation. Two thousand years ago in your dimension, we did not have your modern scientific baggage to be able to observe and intelligently explain the activity of what I called the “Father” all around us.

To discover your true SOURCE of BEING, I ask you to take stock of the unimaginable and indescribable complexity and diversity of purposeful work fully visible in penguins and pigs.

Can the human mind reproduce one of the most basic activities that take place in – say – the digestive system, which quickly assembles the right enzymes and hormones needed for digestion?

How does the finite mind, which is incapable of clearly perceiving the true creative process governed by intrinsic knowledge, dare to assert peremptorily – defying contradiction – that it understands the true origins of creation and the forces from which creation took form?

What arrogance! These men can only think according to what their eyes tell them.

I look at current scientific ignorance with loving compassion, a certain amusement, and a burning desire to prick their pride. For, until someone can pierce their complacency and their position of infallibility, a true union of Eternal Truths and human scientific knowledge can never take place. But it must take place; otherwise human spiritual evolution will remain at a standstill.

The scientific mind is too filled with bookish traditions of “finite” conception, recognized formulas and equations, and the need for peer approval, to allow mystical penetration by Higher Intelligences.

In my name, I ask the readers of these Letters to form an association to challenge science, and to ask: “At what stage in the evolution of the \"material world\" is CONSCIOUSNESS first perceptible?”

I repeat and I weigh my words: Ask scientists at what point, in the evolution of the world, “consciousness” is first perceptible. In the living cell? If it is in the living cell, ask whether it was perceptible in the living molecules that combined to form a cell, and surround it with a membrane so intelligently designed that it allows the absorption of selected foods and the excretion of toxic waste? How does it recognize toxic waste? And if it were admitted that consciousness might be present in living molecules, should you not ask whether the chemical properties, which became a living molecule, might not themselves have possessed “consciousness”, which ultimately drove and propelled them to form the life-giving combination to make a molecule? And having gone back as far as this in the origins of existence – the chemical properties – you should still ask why “consciousness” should become a viable presence only in chemical properties – why not in the elements in which individuality first took form, and if it is in the elements, why should one refuse that “consciousness” propels the electrical particles to form the elements? Is it rational to refuse such a possibility?

And having reached such a possibility, should you not go further and ask where electromagnetism comes from? What is the “reality” of electricity, beyond the streaks of intense light described today by science as photons and electrons?

And what is the “reality” of magnetism, beyond the dual energies of “attraction and rejection” – those impulses of energy that brought stability and order out of chaos?

Ask science: “Where does electromagnetism come from, which is responsible for the most fundamental stages of the creation of an ordered and organized universe, of unimaginable complexity and diversity?”

I will now attempt to describe in your words THAT which is beyond all words and currently beyond all “individualized earthly understanding”. Consequently, the intellect, although it helps the brain to understand, intellectually, the spiritual realities that I set forth to you, also creates a barrier to true spiritual perception and experience.

For this reason, consider the following references to the ULTIMATE UNIVERSAL DIMENSION as mere guidelines – ideas, “blurry forms of consciousness” of the REALITY that is behind and in your universe. ((Bring each IDEA – one by one – into meditation))

What I am about to explain is entirely in and of CONSCIOUSNESS without parameters or boundaries. If you are spiritually evolved enough to follow me, beyond words, you will begin to understand “spiritually” everything I am trying to tell you. The words will guide you toward – and then open new “perspectives of being” for you. Persevere! The LIGHT, gradually, perhaps imperceptibly, will penetrate your mind and you will have little flashes of intuition.

There are many people who have experienced a little “flash of intuition”, who have briefly felt a little “Divine Consciousness”, and then, hardly daring to continue believing in such a transcendent moment of perception, have begun to question, to doubt, and finally they drive away the little inflow of “Divine Consciousness”. Be careful not to do this. Disbelief will delay you, entangle you in the material plane of existence more than you can imagine.

Whatever you are given and are able to receive – hold on to it and do not doubt.

Doubt destroys steady progress, because it creates its own “forms of consciousness” that will suppress and even eradicate the intuition you had previously received.

Consequently, the choice of your thoughts – belief or disbelief, doubt or faith – builds or destroys your progress in your search for TRUTH.

Any denial erases from your consciousness the progress that had been made earlier.

Moreover, the higher you rise in spiritual truth, the more powerful your thoughts become. Therefore, create and firmly maintain your spiritual momentum, and do not allow anyone to interfere with and undermine this momentum. Hold firmly to your previous perceptions. In moments of doubt, sail on positive thoughts, using enlightening affirmations, holding on to the inspiring advice received earlier, when your vibrational frequencies of consciousness were higher. By using your willpower, by choosing affirmations containing “golden nuggets” of spiritual Truth, return to this higher level of consciousness again and again. Do not surrender yourself completely, through mental laziness, to the ebb and flow of spiritual consciousness energies by becoming a spiritual “weathervane”.

I cannot stress this danger of self-obstruction strongly enough. Become actively aware of it.

If you know anything of the accounts of my life in Palestine, you will remember that I too suffered from this phenomenon of the ebb and flow of spiritual consciousness, and that I found it necessary to go away into the hills to pray, meditate and renew my spiritual strength. Consequently, understand your “dry” periods, but do not give in to them by passively surrendering to an undesirable change in your attitudes and your mental/emotional patterns. By conscientiously drawing from your Source of Being new strength and the elevation of your frequencies of consciousness, these negative periods will diminish enormously in strength and duration. I repeat, at every moment, be careful how you use your minds! Let your mental activity always be constructive, so that it may contribute to your own spiritual development rather than being its permanent obstacle.
